CLIENT?
What is a Zero Client?
The is no fixed definiton!
Many different definitions ofZero Clients
– Hardware only
– Hardware optimized software
– Software only
The concept is to offer a dedicated functionality for a defined solution
– VMware View or Citrix XenDesktop
Zero Clients do have CPU, RAM, Flash and an OS

ARM based Zero Clients
New CPU technology
Lower power consumption
Often enhanced by DSP to accelerated protocols (HDX/ICA,
RemoteFX).
Usually a single solution (e.g. Only Citrix)
Without optimized software only average performance
Limited availability of ARM optimized Software
Normal Thin Client with new hardware platform
