Held on: 10 th of April, 2012 Venue: MITUR Meeting Facility, Maputo Attendees: 21 Notably by; Ms. Matsinhe Fernanda, Permanent Secretary, MITUR Representing government agencies; JICA, MITUR, DINATUR, INATUR, DPTURI, JPT (JICA Project Team) Representing private sector organizations; CTA, FEMOTOUR, AHTPI as well as individuals active in the tourism sector.

The following were explained in detail: Objectives of the Project, Principles and organizational structure of implementing the Project Planned activities of Phase 1 (which were ongoing) Active discussions and the mutual exchange of respective opinions and ideas were made.
Main points discussed and mutually agreed upon were: Official formalization of the JCC Benefit to local communities Avoid duplication between similar projects Dissemination of Destination Marketing and Promotion (DMP) to other provinces
Marketing Committee & Sub Committee Meetings
As part of the existing national level Marketing Committee, the Project introduced three new Sub-Committees as reflected within the graph below:

Sub Committee Marketing Sub Committee Promotion Sub Committee The Sub-Committees are structured as workshops to include participation of national level governmental agencies; INATUR, DINATUR as well as private sector tourism organizations and associations, such as AVITUM, to strengthen mutual collaboration and understanding.

Sub-Committee Workshop
Held on: 5 th of November, 2012 Venue: DINATUR Conference Room, Maputo Attendees: 7 Representing government agencies; JPT, DINATUR, INATUR, 1 Representing the private sector The theme of the meeting was to share the 1 st Survey results.
Phase Tourist Interview The 1 st Phase Tourist Interview Survey results were presented by Ms. Lourdes Domingos (DINATUR) Various comments and opinions were heard from the participants regarding the findings of the Survey.
A presentation was made by Sherrie Fujinuma (JPT) on the current overview of tourism in Mozambique. Further comments and discussions were made from the participants regarding the tourism environment, and issues that are to be addressed.
