Why Was the ACLSA Needed?
• In the early 1990s, Casey discovered the need for an instrument that: – Includes youth and caregivers; – Is strengths-focused; – Is developmentally appropriate; – Is culturally sensitive and gender appropriate; and – Is useful for setting case goals.
