1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by
Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from
the dead;) 2 And all the brethren which are with me,
unto the churches of Galatia: 3 Grace be to you and
peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus
Christ,
4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us
from this present evil world, according to the will of God
and our Father:
Gal. 3:26-27
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ
Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ

I. Gal 5:16-18 Two Ways to Live:
Walk in the Flesh (Selfish, Sinful Conduct)
VS Walk in the Spirit (Follow God’s Word)
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not
fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and
the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary
the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things
that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also
told you in time past, that they which do such things
shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

IV. Gal 5:24-26 Crucify the Flesh , Walk in the Spirit
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh
with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking
one another, envying one another.
A. Crucify the Flesh: Use All Means to Put to Death,
No Matter How Painful the Struggle!
B. The Spirit Gave Life thru the Gospel—Follow It!
C. Follow the Spirit: Avoid Contention, Strife, Bitterness

Conclusion:
1. Christ Came to Deliver Us from This
Present Evil World—He Invites Us to Enter
a New Life (Gal. 3:26-27):
