A Poem About Chicago….
Chicago is the place to be,
Many sites to see,
Nicknamed the Windy City.
Chicago…
Home of the water tower,
And the lovely beautiful flowers
Home to the famous downtown,
Where you see no one with a frown.
Home to Millennium Park,
Where kids play,
And fireworks spark.
Home to numerous museums
Where everyone is welcome,
Where you see many Native American
customs
In Brookfield zoo,
Where people come to see,
Dolphins and monkeys.
Home to the Sox, Cubs, Bulls and Bears
For what the fans of Chicago show a lot
of care.
And most of all, home to Budlong
School,
Where students find a learning tool.
Michigan Avenue
Michigan Ave. is a cool place to go
There’s a lot of things to see,
And a lot of things to show.
We shop at Macy’s
And buy a dress,
That’s really lacy.
They design the windows in the Winter,
Right next to where you enter.
I love to shop,
At the Apple store,
Where I’m never bored.
The Apple Store sells a lot of items
But you can’t bite ‘em!
I know the place to go,
Where the prices are low here at Michigan
Ave.
Brookfield Zoo
Brookfield zoo has lots of animals
They have reptiles, monkeys and lots of
mammals.
There are birds that don’t have germs,
But they do eat worms!
They have a souvenir shop,
Where people shop,
Till’ they drop.
Now I must go,
‘Cause there’s a lot to see,
And a lot to show here in
Brookfield Zoo. ☻
In Chicago, you’ll want to eat our fast
food,
If you don’t then you won’t be in a good
mood.
Pizza, burgers or a hotdog- Yummy!
This’ll feel SO good in your tummy.
Here we ♥ to eat because our
Chicago style hotdogs just can't
be beat.
Here in Chi-TOWN!
Home of Millennium Park,
Where kids play
And fireworks spark
Millennium Park
Millennium Park is located in
the heart of the marvelous
downtown in Chicago. There
are numerous attractions at
Millennium Park for example
the Cloud Gate, the waterfall
and so much more!
The Cloud Gate
The Cloud Gate is shaped like a
bean and it consists of polished
stainless steel plates. It reflects
the famous downtown skyline.
It curves in the middle which
allows visitors to go under the
Cloud Gate and see a reflection
of themselves. It is amazing!!!

BP Bridge
Another attraction is the BP
Bridge. This bridge is 925 feet
long.
The Crown Fountain
This attraction is splendid
for kids! It is so much fun! It
consists of two towers that
pour out water every 8-10
minutes! If you are
standing where it spits out
water, you’re lucky!
Budlong School
Budlong School is the place to go,
We have libraries, gyms, and
computer labs to show.
If you want to play,
There’s a playground for you to be.
For older kids there’s a field,
For you to see.
In our gym, we have a wall,
Where kids climb up and then
they fall.
We have big classes,
Where teachers lose their
glasses.
But it’s no big deal,
Because we can keep it real,
Here at Budlong School.

Our school is located on Chicago’s North side. A big hospital is our
neighbor and a busy street is in front. We are on the same street as
Northeastern Illinois University and North Park University.
