MEDICAL EXPENSE AND PERFORMANCE REPORTING SYSTEM
(MEPRS)
MANAGEMENT IMPROVEMENT GROUP
(MMIG)
PURPOSE:
The MMIG will serve as the senior staff level body responsible for the functional
oversight of the DoD MEPRS Program and a uniform Military Health System (MHS)
Financial Management Accounts Structure (FMAS) for the TRICARE Management
Activity (TMA) and each of the Military Medical Departments.
The MMIG will be responsible for the development, implementation and management
of MEPRS policies, procedures and business practices, and for integrating the
collection, processing and reporting of standard workload, financial, and labor data in
the Expense Assignment System (EAS).
It will ensure MHS business practice standardization and procedural compliance
related to the preparation, validation, audit, submission and reporting of MEPRS data.
The MMIG will operate under the auspices of the TMA Resource Management Steering
Committee (RMSC).

SCR Description: This effort is to provide interoperability between E&TM Equipment items and associated data and the Drawbase® CAD capabilities
similar to DMLSS-Facilities Management (DMLSS-FM) functionality, linking Equipment records to associated Drawbase® drawings, for
- The ability to associate schematics and drawings specific to the equipment item,
- The ability to select a room and display a DMLSS query result for Equipment assigned to the specified space,
- The ability to integrate a COTS RFID product that will track movement of equipment,
- The ability to run a query within DMLSS for Preventive Maintenance and Work Order information by location
This system change falls in line with Critical Initiatives (CI) being profiled by MHS/TMA for Business Transformation & Management, and is
supportive of the Tri-Service Business Planning Tool efforts and Portfolio Planning and Management Division of TMA pertaining to the Life
Cycle Management Strategic Plan, approved by the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs) on 30 April 2002.
