Approach to “Next-Generation” • Formed Process Integration Task Group to assist SC’s in understanding business process modeling • Kicking off joint international effort with EDIFACT Working Group to develop core components – data building blocks

Data “Representation” • X12 XML Task Group recommending how to incorporate XML business standards into X12 standards community • X12 actively participating in ebXML initiative to expedite global XML data exchange framework
