My Expectations and Goals
• To learn how to construct a web page that is functional and informative.
• To develop a web page that students could successfully use in place of traditional methods.
• To learn the “Ins” and “Outs” of web page construction.
Summary of My Project
• My name is Stan Avila, I’m a fourth grade teacher at Junction Elementary School in Palo Cedro, California.
• The lesson I developed is “ Along The El Camino Real” ; Discovering California’s Missions.

• Instructional Objectives: 1. Students will visit each mission on the web.
2. Complete a mission database sheet.
3. Compile a Mission Book.

• Created a Five Point rubric 5 – Excellent work, all assignments completed 4 – All work completed adequately 3 – Majority of work completed, some errors 2 – Not all work completed, many errors 1 – Incomplete assignments , poor quality
Internet Integration
• Students will use the internet to visit various sites pertaining to the California Missions.
• They will gather data about the missions and complete a variety of assignments.

Lesson Plan Revision
• Lesson 1 – Made the activity form easier to use • Lesson 2 – Created a database form • Lesson 6 – Had students work in groups
Lesson Implementation
• Used the computer lab and classroom computers • Students were apprehensive at first but gained confidence as they worked through the lessons.
• Students with advanced skills were uses as tutors.
• Additional time was given to complete lessons.
Student Performance
• Most students showed significant growth in understanding and knowledge of the 6 subject.
• Students completed 5 4 related activities with varying degrees of success.
