DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
I have joined in this college on 5th august,1983 in the
Post of lecturer in commerce. Then only H.S Courses
was studied in this college. There was one full time
teacher and two part time teachers. In 2001 H.S Courses
was shifted from college to School and B.Com General
Course under Calcutta University was introduced from
2001 in this college.








During the period from 2001-02 to 2006-07
Only B.com General Courses was studied by
The following teachers of commerce department:1.Sri Kartick Chandra Lakshman
2.Smt Sujata Majumdar
3.Sri Debaprasad Ghosh
And with the help of Bengali,English,Economics
and Mathematics departments teachers.
From 2006-07 B.Com Honours course was also
introduced.


Learning Recourses of the Department
B.Com General Course was introduced in 2001.From2001 to
2010 several grant from UGC & and College Fund the Books
of Rs 130000 was purchased both for Honours Students and
General Students . Now in the seminar library more than 100
Books and in the Library more than 300 books are Available
for Honours Students. In the Library more than 300 books are
available for General Students.
One computer is in the Departmental room. For ITBG
Computer Science Lab is used for Practical and Theory
classes
Modern teaching method practiced and
use of ICT in teaching- learning :Modern method of teaching and the use of ICT
teaching-learning process are taken resourse to
whenever needed.
Participation of teachers in academic and
personal counseling of students :Teachers participate in academic and personal
counseling of students formally through the
Tutor-Ward System and informally through
continuous face to face interactions outside
the classroom whenever possible.
