Voting for 2015-16 Student Council will take place during B Block Monday and Tuesday (5/115/12)! Jostens will be here Thursday, May 14th for class ring delivery during lunches outside the cafeteria. Summer Reading List for 2015-2016 has been posted on the D-B website. Students who have requested Dual Enrollment English Composition I and II or Dual Enrollment Statistics and Oral Communication must pick up the dual enrollment packet in the counseling office. Dobyns-Bennett Athletic Physicals for the 2015-2016 school year SATURDAY – MAY 16th, 2015 @ 8:00 AM (BE THERE AT 8:00 AM!) Wellmont Outpatient Therapy Center West Stone Drive @ King Giant Plaza ► Pick up a “Physical Packet” from the Athletics Office or Athletic Training Room in the Field House. ► Have your “Physical Packet” filled out/signed by your parent/guardian BEFORE you come for the physical. If you have Asthma or Severe Food/Latex Allergies, additional forms will be needed/please see one of the school nurses. D-B Art Show Block A: 8:00Friday May 9:00 15 Block B: 9:3010:30 Block C: 11:4512:45 Block D: 1:30- Early voting will take place May 7th – 14th at the Civic Auditorium. Election Day is May 19th. Students please park on the D-B side lot for these dates as we expect to have quite a few citizens in and out during this time. Also, no one is allowed to park in the grass over at Legion Park. Sam and Kathy Darden Founders Scholarship Criteria: accepted and made deposit to the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, full time student for 15-16 school year, minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher. Award: $1,000 Applications are available in the D-B Counseling office Scholarship box and at www.utcsf.com/scholarship Deadline: June 1st Athnet Sports Recruiting Scholarship Award: $1,000 Eligibility: Current or former athlete at the high school or college level and must be a current college student or high school senior entering college. How to Enter: Write a 400-500 word essay describing how the lessons learned through playing sports have positively impacted you as you pursue your college education. Students are taught by Milligan faculty, coaches and alumni Summer Camps are available to students ages 14-18 in Music, Digital Media, Theatre, Basketball, Cheer, Swim, Tennis, and Youth in Ministry. Deadline: May 30th MTSU Mechatronics Engineering Scholarship Award: $10,000 per year for 3 years and enhanced activities such as a trip to Berlin, Germany For: New freshman Mechatronics Engineering majors at MTSU, US Citizenship, full-time student, high school GPA 3.0 or better, ACT Math subscore 24 or better, demonstrate financial aid, willingness to participate in the MT cohort program.
