Course Selection Process
• We will be sharing information about courses with you
today.
o Don't be afraid to ask questions.
o The courses you request determines what courses are
offered the following year. CHOOSE CAREFULLY!!
o There are no schedule changes (except for graduation
requirements)
• What Students Need to Do...
o Review your transcript to see what courses you need (you can see it
on Infinite Campus-- in the student portal)
o Choose your 6 requests and 4 alternates (if you don't choose we
choose for you)
o Have your core area (English, math, science, social studies) teachers
confirm your selection by signing your registration form
o Have your parents sign your registration form
o Students will be entering their requests in the computer labs starting
next week. Please turn forms into your English teacher.

Environmental Science: This course examines the
relationships of living organisms to both living and nonliving components of ecosystems. Human impact on
natural systems will also be explored. Pre-requisites: Biology
GeoSpace Science: In this class, students will study
geochemical cycles, internal and external energy in the
earth system, origin and evolution of the earth and the
universe. Pre-requisites: Biology
Forensics 1-2: This class provide the skills and background
to apply the principles of forensic science.

American Sign Language 1-2
• This class will introduce the fundamentals of American
Sign Language used by the Deaf Community
including the basic vocabulary, syntax, finger spelling
and grammatical non-manual signals.
• This course will focus on communicative competence.
It will develop gestural skills as foundation for
American Sign Language.

This phase is focused on preparing students to pass the Arizona
End-of-Program and ASE certification tests .This course will
identify career opportunities related to the Automotive
