Career Clusters
• Related occupations organized by the types of products
and services these occupations provide to society.
• The Office of Vocational and Adult Education, U.S.
Department of Education has adopted 16 career clusters
as the structure for organizing programs within CTE.
•
Within these clusters, career pathways provide
guidance as to the knowledge and skills that must be
acquired to prepare for occupations at varying levels.

Personal Graduation
Plan
• Each school district is encouraged to establish for
each student entering grade nine a personal
graduation plan that:
• Promotes:
– (A) college and workforce readiness; and
– (B) career placement and advancement; and
• Facilitates the student’s transition from secondary
to postsecondary education [TEC 28.0212(e)]
