Definition - Inclusive Design
"The design of mainstream products and/or services that are
accessible to, and usable by, as many people as reasonably
possible ... without the need for special adaptation or
specialized design.“
The British Standard Institute, 2005

Our Inclusive Technology System
• To prompt people to hold the handrail when using
the stairs for their own safety.
• It incorporates sensors and sensory mats at the top
and bottom of the stairs.
• These sensors activate light and sound.
• Sends distress messages to the family member in
case of a fall.
Our Aim
Continued independent
living for the elderly.
Greater awareness when
using the stairs.
Reduction in
accidents/fatalities in the
home
For Who?
Persona
