Karol Bielecki
Karol Bielecki was
born on 23rd of
January 1982 in
Sandomierz. He is
famous polish
handballer.
Primary school.
Karol’s adventure with sport
started in primary school in
Sandomierz. When he was
eleven years old he wrote a
letter to the football team
Wisła Sandomierz. His talent
was noticed quite early by
junior coach of Siarka
Tarnobrzeg.
Handball career.
In season 1997/1998 he entered
senior team Wisła Sandomierz.
He made his debut in Premier
League on 23rd of October
1999. Europe cups (1999, 2003)
and Polish cup (2003)
In 2004 Sc Magdeburg bought
him for 200 000 euro. In
December 2007 together with
Grzegorz Tkaczyk he came to
Rhein-Neckar Lówen hanball
team.
In 2002 August he
participated along with other
Polish representatives in
Youth Championships in
Sopot, Gdańsk and Gdynia.
On 5th February 2007 he was
honoured by the president
Lech Kaczyński with Golden
Cross of Merit.
On 30th October 2008 he
ended career because he
had problems with body. After
persuasions of Bogdan
Wenta, Polish handball
coach, he came back to
handball.
His injury
On 11th June 2010 during
sparing with handball
representation of Croatia in
Kielce one of the players has
hurt his eye.
Karol was immediately
transported to the hospital in
Kielce. Later on, an ambulace
transported Karol to
ophthalmological clinic in
Lublin. There, surgeon
performed an surgery on his
eye. On 18th June 2010 Karol
Bielecki announced finish of
his career, but he return to
handball again.

On 22nd July 2010, first time after injury he
played in sparing matches on 26th July and
31st August.
