Weaknesses of Polish agroindustry
• Lack of strategic development plan for the branch
• Small, underinvested farms and processing plants
• Problems with quality control and traceability due to
“atomization” of production
• Very few cooperative organizations (producer’s groups,
clusters etc.)
• Traditional, not innovative technologies prevailing
• Inadequate technology transfer from R&D institutions to
industry,
• low investment in innovative technologies
• Lack of reliable market prognosis; no production planning,
high fluctuation of production and prices
• Inadequate marketing and promotion
