Overview
• The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is designed for
advanced practice nurses with a focus on innovative,
evidence-based practice.
• DNP graduates inform health care policy and implement
patient care programs.
• Currently, no institution in Arkansas offers the DNP
program.

• UAMS offers a PhD in nursing and 11 nurse practitioner
specialty tracks that could be included in the DNP
program.
• The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program for
advanced practice nurses is designed to prepare students in
the delivery, management, and care of patients with
complex health care needs across the life span.

DISTRIBUTION OF MINERAL LEASE
FUNDS
Distribution of Mineral Lease Funds
• It is recommended that up to $1.0 million be allocated (from the
H.E. Research Development Fund) to the University of
Arkansas, Fayetteville for expenses associated with the
connection and expansion of ARE-ON to all public universities
in the state.
• $9,103,725.79 has been distributed as of 6/21/2012
• The current balance of the Research Development Fund is
$1,045,888.54.
