2010 Program Issues / Expectations

FAA NextGen Initiatives – Investing billions in system improvements

thru 2018. Transforms ATC to Satellite Based System. Develops High Density Airports.

http://www.faa.gov/about/initiatives/nextgen/

Green Infrastructure Policy – Will affect FAA eligible cost guidance

Decrease in commercial air traffic due to economy – less local airport revenues – Projects Delayed.

Lack of Reauthorization. Slowing needed changes for program

funding improvements.

Noise Compatibility Projects – Contraction of Noise Exposure

affects mitigation projects.

Noise Land Disposal – FAA completing review of plans. Standard

operating procedures needed.
