Teacher Absence Procedure
1. Telephone the T.A.s in 518 as far in advance as possible: 02.3408.3443.
-If you are unable to reach the T.A.s, telephone Ryan Nowack (Assistant Director)
at 010.3013.4174.
-The T.A.s will put up class cancellation notices in each of
your classes.
2. Notify your students A.S.A.P.
-Keep e-mail address files for all of your classes, so that you can easily send out
group e-mails to your classes to notify them of your absence.
3. Schedule make-up sessions.
-Work with your students to decide upon a suitable day and time.
-Notify the T.A.s in 518 of such make-up sessions.

Summer/Winter Class Selection Method
Step 1. Have you taught a class in the past two vacation periods?
--If “Yes”: Your name is taken out.
--If “No”: Proceed to Step 2
Step 2. Seniority
--If you have the most seniority of the contenders: You are awarded the class.
--If there is one or more person with the same amount of top seniority: Proceed
to Step 3.
Step 3. Contenders with equal seniority
--The teacher with the highest (most recent) student evaluation results is awarded
the class.
