SRC Information • Each month, approximately 60,000 people visit the NC School Report Cards site. • The School Report Cards website informs citizens about metrics such as: • Class size • Certification background of teachers • School safety • Academic performance • The site also serves as a primary reporting means for the schools and districts regarding the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) performance. SRC Timeline December 8-19: Welcome Letter and Alternate Superintendent email submission period January 12-23: Data Preview February 5: Public Release of SRC in conjunction with the State Board of Education Meeting What’s New 1 New Technology Platform SRC built using SAS Visual Analytics (VA) tools Many more graphical representations of the data Users have the ability to compare multiple schools on the same page 2013-14 SRC will include prior years’ data where the data, display, and business rules are the same Old SRC site still available with 2012-13 and prior year’s data What’s New 2 New Indicators School Performance Grades Read to Achieve Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) examination participation and performance College Enrollment College Course Completion What’s New 3 Accountability Reports Incorporated into the SRC The READY indicators of The ACT, ACT WorkKeys, and Passing Math III Graduation Project Status for high schools AMO target summaries What’s New 4 Other Changes to the SRC SRC Snapshots have been updated and continue to be available in English and Spanish 5 proficiency levels for the EOG and EOC tests Link to NC Teacher Working Conditions survey Indicators from the Annual Media and Technology Report have been removed. The ratio of internetconnected learning devices remains. Welcome Letter The Welcome Letter is a great opportunity to highlight local achievements. The letter is located on your LEA’s or charter school’s website. School Report Cards will only link to the LEA page. We cannot link to individual letters. The Welcome Letter needs to be coordinated with your local webmaster.
