• A wide range of effective interventions exist
• A holistic approach is most desirable
–a National Strategy to Prevent Violence
• Enforcement of existing laws: effective, but expensive!
• Limiting alcohol supply reduces all forms of violence
–at NO cost to the community
• Evidence-based interventions must be prioritised
