for insurance purposes. You, the student athlete are just as responsible to see that this
is done, as is the coaching staff.
Administrative Policy
3. INSURANCE - The major medical and
hospitalization plan of each family is the
sole carrier that is active. Supplemental
insurance can be purchased and/or primary
insurance purchased through ZevitzRedfield Insurance (forms can be obtained
from the Athletic Office).
Administrative Policy
4. The locker room is not a “play area.”
There is to be no “horseplay” in the locker
room. The locker room should be kept
clean and neat. Athletes should get into the
locker room quickly and exit the locker
room as quickly as possible.
Administrative Policy
5. Driving a vehicle on Marian Catholic
High School property is a privilege. Cars
are to be parked on the East side of the large
student parking lot. Reckless or
irresponsible driving will not be tolerated.
Administrative Policy
6. Students are directed to stay away from the
maintenance area.
Administrative Policy
7. All garbage should be placed in the
appropriate receptacles. Garbage cans are
supplied throughout the locker room, school
building and outside campus for your
convenience in disposing of trash.
Administrative Policy
8. Students are encouraged to purchase a
good pair of gym shoes and a good pair of
Football shoes for participation. Football
shoes are not to be worn inside the school
building. Gym shoes should be kept in
lockers in the event that classroom work,
gymnasium activity, or blacktop area
become practice sites.
Administrative Policy
09. All athletes are directed to leave the
building through the East or West
gymnasium foyer exit doors. Athletes are
encouraged to leave the building
immediately after practice. Attempts
should be made for rides to pick you up
without needing to “gather” in the school
building.
Administrative Policy
10. Students are directed to stay out of the
West gymnasium foyer and the West
gymnasium.
Administrative Policy
11. Athletes are to strive for success in the
area of academic excellence.
Administrative Policy
12. Athletes will be checked on a weekly basis
for academic advancement. Deficiencies will
be met with a range to include tutorial through
ineligibility.
Administrative Policy
13. Students are expected to exhibit proper
conduct and self control in the classroom.
Administrative Policy
14. Detention will not be tolerated and
excessive problems in this area or other
discipline situations could lead to dismissal
from the program.
Administrative Policy
15. Hassling of individuals will not be
tolerated. Ridicule of peers and abusive
and/or offensive language are not to be
practiced by athletes. Failure to cooperate
with this policy could lead to dismissal from
the program.
Administrative Policy
16. Athletes are expected to be on time for every
scheduled practice and are to be present at every
practice. Certain situations might dictate that a student
be excused from practice. Such occurrences should be
kept to a minimum, and when possible, they should be
cleared in advance. If sickness occurs or other
difficulties arise which affect attendance - information
can be relayed through the following athletic phone
number - (708) 755-8286. Failure to cooperate with
this policy could lead to dismissal from the program.
Administrative Policy
Marian Catholic High School will provide
an athletic trainer throughout the school
year. This service is provided through
Flexeon Rehabilitation. The training
service provided is the first line of
intervention for injuries sustained at practice
or at scheduled athletic contest. Parental
contact may take place if the situation
warrants that type of communication.
Administrative Policy
The Football coaching staff Marian Catholic
High School and the athletic trainer can
provide physician contacts for injuries
sustained throughout the school year. It
should be understood that the physicians
names and contacts will be supplied at the
request of the parent (s) and/or guardian. It
is also understood that family doctors,
previous doctor relationships, and insurance
will play a large part in the treatment.
Administrative Policy
The Marian Catholic High School Football
coaching staff will assign individual large
lockers to each of our program participants.
Lockers are to be kept neat and orderly.
Student-athletes are reminded to secure their
personal belongings at all times. This
includes (but is not limited to) clothing,
shoes, books, jewelry, equipment, money,
and all personal or school issued items.
Administrative Policy
The Marian Catholic High School Football
coaching staff encourages each of our
program participants to use the locker room
as home. Therefore, it is expected that they
will treat the locker room as home. Security
is a major issue and students are reminded to
be observant of their own situations as well
as those who might also be assigned lockers
in the same area.
Administrative Policy
It is important for program participant to be vigilant
when it pertains to their locker room and their personal
belongings. The locker room can be an area for
thievery if our participants allow. The members of
the Football program should take great pride in helping
to eliminate the “threat” of thievery. More importantly,
the members of the Football program should eliminate
the “threat” of thievery by being totally accountable for
their belongings, books, personal equipment, school
issued equipment, and any other items that may need to
be housed in their lockers. The best deterrent to the
“threat” of thievery is “ownership” of the locker room
by our program participants.
