districts within 16 Michigan counties – and the city of
Chicago
After successful completion of the Internship and fulfillment
of all State of Michigan requirements, certification will be

Minimum overall 2.75 at the end of semester of application
Basic Skills Test

Essay
Proctored 1-hour essay in testing office on campus.
Scheduling will be part of online application.
$20 scoring fee paid on application.
Experience
Special Education students must document 42 hours of work with special needs kids
No documentation required for Elementary or Secondary but experience is helpful
for essay
