What goes on the boards?

What the judges will be looking for:
Technology
• innovation
• a cyclic approach to their project (design, modify, evaluate)
• a view to the future (i.e. product development)
• OWNERSHIP
Science
• A well thought out method and conclusion that are related to the
hypothesis
• Solid data gathering and analysis of this data
• A view to the future (i.e. possible spin off investigations)
• OWNERSHIP
Judges also like to see …
- an authentic reason for a project, not just a copy of an experiment off the
web. For example, in a technology project it might be a special tool that
will make gran’s life easier . In a science project it might be a curious
observation of an insect that triggered a thorough investigation into its
habits.
- creative problem solving and curiosity
