Vangstad
• Update from the last month:
– Sheetrock is 90% complete in the basement.
– The rain leader on the roof is still hooked up so it is causing
us to get water in the mechanical room. Ron is working with
the contractor to find a solution to this issue.
– Air handler was delivered and has been installed.
– The windows have been delivered and installation will start
this week.
– Completion date was discussed today and the architect will
send out a new schedule soon.
City Flood Protection Project
– Re-routed the 12” water main by the walk
bridge.
– Moved the Century Link line that was in the way.
– Poured the foundation and the walls for the
pump station on the east end of College Street.
– Next week they will be digging the foundation for
the flood wall going west on College Street.
Heat Plant Replacement
– The RFQ for Construction Manager has been
sent out and bid opening will be July 7th. Would
like to interview on July 14th.
– ONE has started working on demo plans for the
Power House.
– We are still working on land buy-outs to see
what we can obtain for the new plant site.
Wellness Center
– There was a ground-breaking on 6/3 at 10am.
– Strata has removed asphalt all the way to the
shop. They will be replacing this with a new road
when the project is completed.
– The force main was installed last week during
the middle of the night. It only take 4-6 hours to
complete.
Other Projects
• President’s House Retaining Wall & McFarland 1st Floor Stabilization
– We have received a bid, hoping to get at least one more before making a
decision on how to move forward.
• Field House Addition
– Continue working with architect, mechanical, and electrical engineers to get
construction plans put together to get the project out to bid.
• SEGS Office Remodel
– Project is underway.
• Student Center Upper Lounge
– We have requested spec drawings from the architect so we can put the project
out to bid.
• McFarland 411
– Watch for emails from Pat concerning updated timeline.
• Graichen Gym Floor
– Project was delayed and began TODAY.
