What is Title I?
Title I is a K-12 program that
provides additional academic support
and learning opportunities for
students at schools with high
percentages of socioeconomically
disadvantaged children
The program is intended to help ensure
that all students meet state
academic standards.

Parent Involvement
The School Site Council (SSC)
provides parents with an opportunity
to be involved in the academic
program of the school. The SSC
develops, monitors, and evaluates the
Single Plan for Student Achievement
(SPSA) to implement programs and
services that support students.

Parent Workshops to help parents support and work with their children at home and at

Monthly Principal Coffees to keep parents informed about school events

School Site Council Meetings are open to all stakeholders
Family English Classes are held three time a week
Flyers and ConnectEd phone calls are sent home informing parent/community of all
meetings of interest & school events
Scheduled Parent / Teachers conferences as well as additional conference when needed
Parental input from the parent meetings and training sessions will be shared with the
School Site Council (SSC) to provide an organized, ongoing, timely way of involving
parents in the planning, review, and improvement of the program.

English/Language Arts SMART Goal:
By 07/19/2013, 42 % of Audubon Elementary Grades 2-5, Grade 6-8, Students will perform at proficient or
advanced level in AYP, increasing from 35.6 % to 42 %, a gain of 6.40 % points
Mathematics SMART Goal:
By 07/19/2013, 48 % of Audubon Elementary Grades 2-5, Grade 6-8, Students will perform at proficient or
advanced level in AYP, increasing from 41.7 % to 48 %, a gain of 6.30 % points
English Learner SMART Goal:
By 07/20/2013, 41 % of Audubon Elementary English Learner, Students will perform at proficient or advanced
level in AYP, increasing from 33.9 % to 41 %, a gain of 7.10 % points
