Solar Array Details
 2.5 MW system covering 11 acres
 2.92 million kWh production
(equivalent to powering 270 homes all year)
 Will provide 54% of Houghton’s annual electricity demand
 No cost to Houghton to build or maintain
(funding through NextEra Energy & NYSERDA grant)
 Array will be owned and operated by NextEra
 Houghton has agreed to purchase 100% of the energy
generated by the array for 25 years
