Get Organized
• Compile a complete list of schools

determine school responsibility
• Organize club members into teams

Contributing to Polio
• Encourage each club member to make a $40
pledge to Polio eradication
11₵ a day
$3.30 a month
$10 a quarter (have club bill quarterly)
4100 Rotarians in District 5110 = $164,000
• Recruit “Polio Partners”
Goal = $1000 in “Partners” per club = $36,000
(50% all clubs participating in the program)
Partner can choose level of participation starting
at $25.00.
Getting Ready for Campaign
• Meet with Mayor(s)
Should be done in August / Early September
Declare October “End Polio Now” month
Recognize Oct. 24 as “World Polio Day”
Proclamation (sample on web site for download)
NOTE: If campaign in your area will occur in
March-April, change the proclamation to meet
your specific area needs, but eliminate the
“World Polio Day” (which is October 24).
Coin Collection Containers
• Clubs will provide collection containers to schools
Locate in each classroom or centrally located?
Decision is up to school (work with school)
• “End Polio Now” templates available for stickers to
put on containers (download from web site)
• Have ready to deliver the day of school kickoff
• Style of containers up to club
Plastic
Cardboard
5-Gallon Water Jugs
Empty Milk Cartons (work with local dairy)
No glass (to insure classroom safety)

• Send contributions to TRF
• Present participation certificates to all
schools and/or classrooms
