What is word analysis in medical
terminology?
 Medical words are made up of different parts
. The words can be made of 2 or 3 different
word parts.
These are called:
The ROOT
The SUFFIX
The PREFIX
1)Root - it is usually a body part .
Eg. Hepat = liver
2)Suffix Always comes at the end of the
word.

3)Prefix= Always comes at the beginning of
the word sub = under

=combination of
