Least Common Multiple (LCM)
A MULTIPLE IS THE PRODUCT OF A NUMBER
AND ANY WHOLE NUMBER
Method 1
 Find the LCM by listing multiples:
12: 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, …
18: 18, 36, 54, 72, ….
So the LCM is 36
22: 22, 44, 66, 88, 110, 132, …
33: 33, 66, 99, 132, 165, …
44: 44, 88, 132, 176, …
So the LCM is 132
Method 2
 By using Prime Factorization
8=2x2x2
18 = 2 x 3 x 3
LCM = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 = 72
45 = 3 x 3 x 5
63 = 3 x 3 x 7
LCM = 3 x 3 x 5 x 7 = 315
