POOR GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION

         Technical (e.g NAADs) Political (Disempowered Political Leaders) Lack of effective monitoring systems Ineffective Supervision, Checks & Balances for CAOs Persistent Failure Programmes (E.g NAADS) Legal Gap: No repercussion for misuse of Government Resources on either side.

Poor reception of Government Programmes.

Corruption by Government Officials.

Lack of Post Implementation follow up.

       Roads Water (Jja port moved to Kampala, No bridges) Rail Hospitals & Health Centres Schools Blood Bank Education & Training Institutions

      Community Responsibility abandoned to Politicians (Education, healthcare, funerals).

Politicians fear to enforce community responsibility (Gambling, Idleness, etc) Youths: (Engaged in political activities have abandoned economic activities).

Lack of Local Leadership: LCI Hereditary, they have abandoned their duties due to poor pay.

Money Politics: People have to be paid to attend sensitization, training, etc.

Political Bickering.

  No Revenue Backflow (Fishing, Tourism, Forests).

Local Tax Rejection (even to feed their own children is not acceptable)

    Anaemia, Accidents, Dependency tendencies; Acute Shortage of Medical Staff, Unwanted Pregnancies; Extremely poor maternity services,etc.

      Lack of business & interpersonal skills (Unemployment, Poor Human Rsc Output) Access to water (Distribution, Safety, Functionality) Food Insecurity (Low production, Sugarcane, Bandwagon production) Presidential Pledges (Laziness, Fulfilment, Follow Up) Lack of Microfinance (Services, Affordability, Failure rate).

Negligence & Ignorance (Public Rscs & Utilisation).

  Ideological Confusion (Polygamy, SACCOs, Witchcraft, Home improvement, Mpanama, etc Education System Challenges (Quality, Insufficient Funding, Attitude, High dropout rates, Religious Cults (666), Child Labour, Defilement.

     Leadership; Training, non involvement of politicians in implementation.

Ineffective Govt Intervention; Direct Payments, Special Programme, Affordable credit access Agriculture; Co-operatives, subsidies, zoning, sensitization Food Security; Compulsory measures, Sugarcane crack down.

       

BUSOGA DEVELOPMENT CO-OP UNION SENSITIZATION CAPITAL INPUTS 3-4 MODEL PARISHES (MBULAMUTI, KASOKWE, NAMUNGALWE, LOBBYING FOR ONE IN BUGIRI).

PARTNERSHIPS MODEL/AIDED FARMERS FROM ALL PARTS OF BUSOGA.

VALUE ADDITION PROCESSING UNITS REVIVAL/ MODERNISATION OF CO-OPS

         Investment: Large Scale Farming with Our Support; Land: Help us with unutilized land for communal gardens.

Parental Support: Donations to families to support them into Agriculture/Value Addition.

Volunteering; Sensitization and exposure of Basoga.

Exchange Visits.

Sponsor a Farmer; Donate $500, twice a year, to support a farmer.

Capital Inputs; $100 buy 100kgs of beans = 2400kg.

Urgent Support with mechanisation & access to water.

Mediation between political leaders.

       Protection of Utilised Land Increased Income from Uganda.

Recognition & Spiritual Satisfaction Working Experience & Exposure.

Sustainable family support & reconciliation.

Sustainable Development; 1 farmer will repay 2 bags of seed, helping 2 other farmers,etc.
