Lessons From the Programme
• The programme is that the programme itself had contributed
significantly to the development of student’s skill and
knowledge; management, entrepreneurship,
communication skill, sustainability, creativity and so on, but
insignificantly to the community development due to
the lack of involvement from that party.
• The main challenge that we have faced before is to attract
the participation from community to join the exhibition since
majority of them are possibly have less interest on this kind
of activity or might be the information was not
conveyed successfully to this main target group.

Future Plan
• To hold a community workshop entitled “Community
Workshop on the Enhancement of Design and
Innovation Activities in Batu Pahat 2012” with the
participation of academics, IHL students, governmental bodies
such as fire fighting department, crime fighting department,
educational office, medical officers as well as public community
themselves prior to the exhibition to grasp the requirements
and attract more attention from those related parties. It will
also be a kick off meeting for the establishment of mutual
understanding towards the effective implementation of
community development programme.
• Actively approach the local authorities, industrial companies and
public community through direct discussion and community
services.
• To conduct more researches and discussion on community
engagement by involving as much parties as possible.
