Who or what is to blame for Amanda's situation?
(Herself, friends, peers, the person who stalked her online,
the internet, Facebook, the police, the boy who slept with
her, bystanders, teachers, her parents, other…)
The mother of Amanda Todd has revealed the
full harrowing details of the shocking cyber
bullying campaign which drove her 15-yearold daughter to suicide.
Amanda was found hanged in her home in Port
Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, on
Wednesday just weeks after she posted a
harrowing video on YouTube telling of her
battle with internet bullies.
Now her teacher mum Carol Todd has spoken of
the online harassment, the alleged taunts at
school and the stalking campaign by a
suspected paedophile which drove Amanda
to hang herself a week before her 16th
birthday.
“I have lost one child, but know she wanted
her story to save 1,000 more,” Ms Todd
told the Vancouver Sun. “Amanda wanted
to tell her story to help other kids.
"I want to tell my story to help parents, so
they can be aware, so they can teach
their kids what is right and wrong and
how to be safe online.”
Think about the clip you have just seen, think about the song
that was playing in the background, think about last lesson...

HIGHLIGHT FOUR CLEAR
POINTS that OUTLINE
Christian attitudes to
bullying.
Christians, like all other people,
teach that bullying wrong.
Christians believe that people who
are being bullied should be helped
and protected. Christians also
believe that those who are bullies
also need help to find out why they
bully and how to stop.
Bullying causes all kinds of
problems in society, but more
specifically to the individual.
Christianity teaches that bullying
is wrong because it is
discrimination and Jesus showed
discrimination is wrong. Bullying
can harm people and Christians
should not harm others. They will
be judged by God by the way they
treat others.
