Instruction: Get into groups of 4 Task: Assume you are writing material for a national campaign about cyber bullying. Create a poster of your group’s top tips for helping young people deal with being bullied or harassed through technology use.

1. Keep a record (including time and date and screen shot – if online) 2. Tell someone 3. Contact your phone or Internet service provider and report what is happening. They can help you block messages or calls from certain senders.

4. If messages are threatening or serious get in touch with the police.

5. Only reply to a bullying message if you feel it will dispel rather than

inflame the situation. As soon as it doesn't work, cease all contact.

6. Change your contact details 7. Keep your username and passwords secret [Source: www.reachout.com.au reviewed by netalert.gov]
