To enhance productivity. Chile's growth slowed from an average of 7.3% in 1990´s to 4% in 2000´s. To tackle inequality. While Chile has made substantial progress in reducing poverty, the average income of the richest 20% was 14 times that of the poorest 20% in 2009.

The government is working on these challenges:

ProChile, the Chilean Promotion Bureau, is the institution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile in charge of promoting exports of products and services. Also ProChile contributes to dissemination of foreign investment opportunities and tourism promotion.
