IDM Quicksilver Drilling Rig
 2004: The first Quicksilver drilling rig manufactured by IDM.
 2009: Global Energy Services acquired IDM and continued to
manufacture the Quicksilver drilling rig with the addition of a walking
system.
 2011: Fred Fortson, the design engineer of the Quicksilver walking
system, designed a conversion system for the existing non-walking rigs
 2012: Independent Contract Drilling acquires GES. Now manufactures
the rigs exclusively for its own drilling services
 2013: Hydraulic Systems, Inc., retains FGN Design Engineers, headed by
Fred Fortson, to continue to design and market exclusively the
Quicksilver drilling rig walking retrofit.

Walking beams are attached above rig floor to lift and
walk rig without affecting the height of the rig.
