New Era in the technology of mobile charging
Birdphone.gr introduces the new era of charging technology
The ever increasing applications of mobile phones in our everyday life, in
addition to voice calls or messages, as well as the continuous development of
the cellphones (eg Smartphones), with bigger screens, additional receivers,
intensive programs, internet use, the effort of maintaining their dimensions at
minimum as well as the reduction of transponders providers, results in the
increasing energy consumption which leads to the restricted autonomy of the
device, sometimes not exceeding a single day.
This means that we have moved from the autonomy of three or even more
than four days of the simple cellphones, to the need of the daily charge of the
new cellphones, several times during the day.

A factor that significantly increased the need for frequent charging is the noncompatibility of the cellphone plugs of different companies. As a result, cell
phones users were forced to purchase many different charges for use at
home, at work, in the car etc. If one forgets the charger, usually runs out of
battery.

But this tends to change, since the moment a lot of companies decided to
change their terminals (plugs) to a base type (micro USB). The micro USB plug
and the entry of the wireless charging technology will lead us to better days
with less stress.

The philosophy
Wireless charging works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. Coils
of wire in the base station (the charging plate) create a magnetic field as the
current passes through. This field can induce an electrical current in an
adjacent coil of wire without actually touching it. If this wire is part of a
battery charging circuit, then you have wireless charging.

Why to choose it

1. Its simple & flexible
You just leave your device on the charging pad, which can be also preinstalled, in almost invisible way, on your desk or another surface.
When you need to talk, you just need to peak up your cellphone, without the
need of disconnecting plugs or even bend over in order to avoid slacking the
cord.

2. Its friendly to your device
With wireless charging, you avoid damaging your device due to the
continuous connection/ disconnection of the charging plug to the mobile,
thus causing malfunctions or even destruction.
The cost for the replacement of such damaged connector is equal to or
greater than the one of an wireless charger.

Time is precious. With a wireless charger you can charge your device as fast
as with a conventional charging system. So wireless charges do not need
more time for charging your cell phone in comparison with conventional
chargers.

4. Its safe
Inductive charging has no side effects and is completely safe for humans. It
has been attested with ISO and CE mark certifications and certification and
standards for security and environmental care of the EU.

5. It is flexible
You device does not need to be changed or be upgraded. The receiver coil is
placed behind the battery cover (see picture below) into your device and is
not visible. It does not cause any damage and it does not put your device out
of warranty, nor eliminates the traditional charging way , since you can charge
your device as you like , wireless or traditionally.

6. Its compatible
The coil (receiver) which its placed into your device, is compatible with any
wireless charging system ( in Europe known as iQ compatible devices, The Qi logo
is a trademark of the Wireless Power Consortium). At this stage “ receivers “ are
available for selected smartphones , but their range is widening.
All future cellphones will be produced by adopting this technology.

7. Its cheap
The purchase price is affordable when considering the flexibility and the
convenience offered to the users. Available as portable charger or fixed
preinstalled on every surface we like such us glass , wood or even acrylic
polymer surfaces eg. Corian, benches, tables etc.

8. It makes us independent
Some of the wireless chargers are equipped with an internally battery of
10.000mAh capacity which allows the fully charge of a device up to 3 or
even 6 times (depending on devices battery capacity).
So we can move everywhere without the fear running out of battery .

9. Its flexible
Some models are specifically designed for fixed installation. They come with a
stable base in order to be easily installed on or into a wooded , glass or acrylic
polymers (type Corian) surface, such a desk, tables, benches cupboard, or
(behind) glass horizontal surfaces without changing the aesthetic of the area.

10. It becomes a status
In the US and in Europe, more and more stores, malls, restaurants conference
centers and coffee shops are offering wireless charging stations in accessible
points to its customers and visitors

Notes:
This technology is available in three basic types* and includes a wireless
transmitter (device) with a charging cable and optional an receiver (inductor)
for selected models of smartphones and soon for more devices :
1. Portable : in various designs and sizes
– Simple, without a battery , has to be connected to a socket.
– ”Power Bank” with a battery with a capacity of 4.000-10.000mAh for a
complete independent use.
2. For Fixed Installation: comes out in two sizes with a special design for easy
adaptation to surfaces and furniture.
3. Car use : with a special shape in order to fit into the car coffee holder and
car charger .
*Note : Chargers ( transmitters/ charging plates ) are sold independently from the receivers, and are compatible with selected
mobile phones, but will be compatible with all future mobile devices. This means that we need to choose one receiver per
device and as many chargers we need.

Notes :
• All products are tested and certified for distribution within the EU.
• The wireless charging devices (transmitters) require electric cables in
order to be connected to a socket.
• All photos presented in this presentation are indicative and may vary from

• In order to charge wireless a device, the device ( receiver) needs to
approach the charger ( transmitter) to a max distance of 5mm.
• Prices given for fixed installed chargers ( transmitters ) does not include
study & installation costs.

style of transmitters based on your special requirements, with an extra
