Curriculum Challenge: Part 1
• • • • We will provide everyone with a project topic. Example: o Water Pollution Work as a table to brainstorm classroom and service activities that students would engage in and write one per sticky note. Examples: o Research sources of water pollution o Take water samples from local streams o Chart pollutants found o Write report on findings For each activity written you will also drop a rock in the container (# of rocks should match number of sticky notes).

• Next, as a table decide what pathway (from the Agriculture, Food, & Natural Resources Career Cluster) that the activity best fits. • Place the sticky note on the corresponding pathway flip charts placed throughout the room.
o Plant Systems; Animal Systems; Power, Structural & Technical Systems; Natural Resources Systems; Environmental Service Systems; Agribusiness Systems; Food Products & Processing Systems.

• As a table, you now have 2 minutes to come up with classroom and service activities that would engage OTHER CONTENT classrooms in the project.
o Math, Science, Language Arts, etc.
• You will follow the same process with the sticky notes and rocks.
