 In this video, the teacher is dogmatic with
his opinion about the topic he is having to
teach. He shows a very strong belief that he
should have to teach kids that they come
from same sex marriages.
 There
are many time when the characters in the
crucible have been dogmatic. These characters
were Abigail, Proctor, Judge Danforth, Parris, and
Mrs. Putnam. All of these character showed
dogmatism by their believes of witch craft in
Salem.
Reverend Parris: Why did
Goody Proctor discharge
you from her service?
 Abigail Williams: Because
I refused to be her slave.
 Reverend Parris: I have
heard said that John
Proctor and you...
 Abigail Williams: My name
is good in the village!
Elizabeth Proctor is an
envious, gossipy liar!

This is a conversation
Abigail and her Uncle,
Reverend Parris, were
having about
Elizabeth Proctor. In
this conversation
Elizabeth is very
stubborn to the fact
Elizabeth is trying to
ruin her name
showing a very
dogmatic character.
 "Near
to four
hundred are in the
jails from
Marblehead to
Lynn, and upon my
signature...and
seventy-two
condemned to
hang by that
signature"
- Judge Danforth
 This
is a dogmatic
quote be Danforth
because he is very
arrogant about the
fact that he has had
so many people hung
and put in jail. He
thinks by stating this
people will agree that
he is right about the
court cases.
John Proctor: She is a
whore!
 Judge Danforth: This will
not pass. Can you prove
this?
 John Proctor: I have
known her sir! I have
known her.
 Judge Danforth: In what
time? What place?
 John Proctor: In the
proper place where my
beasts are bedded.

In this quote John
Proctor is explaining
to Judge Danforth
who Abigail really is.
He is very dogmatic
when he is
explaining this to
Danforth. You can
also tell this by the
language Proctor
uses to Danforth
trying to get
Danforth to believe
what he is saying
