CULTURAL BACKGROUND  Jalowiec (Father’s side)  Polish  German  Keyser (Mother’s side)  German  English

FAMILY TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS  Jalowiec  The only traditions we have for this side are what we celebrate with my parents.

 Thanksgiving and Christmas Day  Family birthdays  Keyser  Christmas Eve dinner at my grandmother’s house with extended family  Family birthdays

SIGNIFICANT RELATIVES  Relatives on my mother’s side (supposedly) can be traced back to the Mayflower.

 All Jalowiecs are related.

 My grandfather and his brothers (my great uncles) built and were founding owners of Brentwood Golf Course.

 Brentwood in Eaton Township and Willow Creek in Vermilion are still family owned.

MY PARENTS  My parents have been married for almost 41 years.

 They met in 1972 (dated for 1 ½ years)  They were married on July 17, 1973  Kyle was born in 1976 when my father was 26 and my mother was 23.

 I was born in 1980 when my father was 29 and my mother was 26.
