Jest to święto zakochanych, które obchodzone
jest 14 lutego. Nazwa walentynki pochodzi od
imienia św. Walentego, patrona zakochanych.
Dzień Świętego Walentego obchodzony jest na
całym świecie jako święto miłości. Tego dnia
wysyłamy sobie kartkę z wierszykiem bądź
wyznaniem miłosnym (tzw. walentynkę) albo też
obdarowujemy się prezencikami.
Najpopularniejszym prezentem było kartonowe
serce z dwiema postaciami: Julią i Romeem.

Valentine`s Day is a special festival. On this day you can
see decorations of red hearts and red roses everywhere.
In Britain you send valentine cards to the people you like
very much. Children often make cards for their parents
and friends. Adults buy cards and presents: teddy bears,
angels, hearts and chocolates. It`s very nice tradition, and
remember – never write your name under the valentine
wishes. It`s a secret!
