passing standard for STAAR set at 70% correct?
Raw scores only communicate the number of
questions answered correctly.
Scale scores consider the difficulty level of a
specific set of questions in any given year.

Phase-in 1 cut scores for Level II were set at
1.0 SD below level II recommended cut
scores.
