Transition Partnership Program (TPP)
Transition Partnership Program (TPP)
The Transition Partnership Program (TPP) is a partnership program with the Department
of Rehabilitation (DOR) and the Fremont, Newark, and New Haven Unified School Districts.
The program’s primary focus is to serve high school
students in special education who are interested in
obtaining an entry-level job after high school.
*Post-secondary vocational training may be considered if
approved by the DOR Counselor.
The TPP staff works closely with the DOR Counselor to
provide continuous support to students (after eligibility)
to make sure the employment goals are achieved.

WorkAbility Program
WorkAbility provides pre–employment skills training for high
school students in special education. It is designed to promote
career awareness and preparation while students are
completing their high school requirements.
WorkAbility can assist students with decisions regarding career
goals and preparation for the world of work, as well as,
provide ongoing support and guidance. WorkAbility is funded
by the California State Department of Education, Special
Education Division.

Job Corps is a free education and training program that helps young
people learn a career, earn a high school diploma or GED, and find
and keep a good job. Job Corps provides the all-around skills
needed to succeed in a career and in life to eligible young people, at
least 16 years of age, who qualify as low income.

Mission Valley ROP is a provider of career
training for high tech, high pay and high
demand fields! In existence for over forty
years, MVROP has been instrumental in
preparing students for successful business,
medical, and technical careers. Operating
under a partnership with Fremont, New
Haven, and Newark Unified School Districts,
approximately 4,000 students (adult and high
school) participate each year in ROP’s
exemplary educational programs.
