THE CLEVELAND PLAN
• It’s about Cleveland, not CMSD. Developed by
broad range of stakeholders, from Mayor Jackson to
the business community to district and charter
schools.
• It’s focused on quality. Based on the portfolio model,
the Cleveland Plan aims to ensure that all students
attend a high-quality school.
• It’s agnostic as to the type of public school. Key to
plan: growing number of high-performing district
and charter schools and closing and replacing
failing schools.
