The goals of the membership are to: • Promote the value and benefits of aviation here at HPN to the general public, government officials and the media. • Promote harmony, coordination and cooperation within the local aviation community. • Promote safe, secure and environmentally friendly operating practices. • Promote enhancement of aviation facilities at HPN that improve safety, utility and efficiency. 15-Jul-15 3 • SAFETY / SECURITY • WAA represents the local aviation community with the FAA, TSA and Airport Management. • WAA works collaboratively with Westchester County Department of Public Safety to develop effective but operationally flexible security protocol at HPN. • WAA distributes Email notifications to our community of key safety & security issues. 15-Jul-15 4 • ENVIRONMENTAL • The aviation community has helped to achieved a 41% reduction in the noise footprint around HPN since 1988. The noise footprint is forecast to continue to decrease. • This decrease is due to tremendous investment in new quieter aircraft, improved training of airmen and good citizenship by local aviators and companies in avoiding operations during the overnight hours as much as possible. • This effort has been recognized by Westchester County in their annual awards ceremony to the community. • The aviation community has collaborated with the Airport Environmental Management Office to help achieve ISO certification. 15-Jul-15 5 • Membership 2014 • Individual Memberships • Corporate Memberships • Business Memberships - 15-Jul-15 279 39 15 6 Aviation Works for America • Aviation in America provides: – Good Jobs – Tax revenue to local, state and federal coffers – Access to airports not served by the Airlines – Humanitarian Efforts • Corporate Angle Network – HPN • Veterans Airlift Command • Sky Hope Network 15-Jul-15 7 Presentation of the Annual Report • Len Levin, Treasurer 15-Jul-15 8 • Westchester Aviation Association • Profit & Loss – FYE 12/31/2014 • • • • INCOME Contributions Interest Total $19,785.00 $16.99 $19,801.99 • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • EXPENSES Seminars, functions GA Expo HPN BBQs Board meetings NYAMA membership Subtotal Various Postage, PO Box Website, email blasts D & O Insurance Subtotal Total Expenses Total Income Net Surplus (Loss) $3,500.00 $2,783.62 $215.89 $250.00 $6,749.51 $406.52 $5,934.06 $ 859.00 $7,175.20 $13,949.09 $19,801.99 $5,852.90 • Presentation of the Annual Financial Statement • • WESTCHESTER AVIATION ASSOCIATION BALANCE SHEET Beginning Ending • Checking $33,557.82 $39,393.73 $5,810.14 • Savings $5,048.67 $5,050.27 $1.60 • CD $10,257.04 $10,272.43 $15.39 • Totals $48,863.53 $54,716.43 $5,852.90 Change • Election - Board of Directors Current Directors & nominees for Re-election to the Board of Directors: • • • • • • • • • • • 15-Jul-15 Rocco Cipriano, Aviation Marketing Consulting Kristen Cloud, Leading Edge Aviation Services Eric Faulkner, Landmark Aviation Marietta French, Executive Jet Management Henry Grudberg, Aviation Education Corporation Milt Hobbs, JP Morgan Chase John Johnston, JJ Aviation & Marine Services, Inc.
