COMPUTERIZATION

 

Computerization of payroll first started in 1969 Initiated through a presidential order through the then modernization and mechanization wing of the Cabinet Division

 

Work under taken through UBL at Rawalpindi Accounts computerized in 1983. The work was transferred from UBL to Pakistan Computer Bureau located in Islamabad

In-house processing was started in 1995, system called ‘ legacy ’

Processing through PIFRA/SAP started in 2004, concurrently with legacy for initial few months
