Conduct of a Graduate
• A graduation is a serious occasion deserving of
your best behavior.
• Inappropriate behavior in your seat or as you
cross the stage will result in your removal
from the ceremony. You will have to come to
school and see Mr. Hull before receiving your
diploma.
Graduation Readers
• If you have a name that you want read
properly at graduation find the teacher
reading your name and spell it out
phonetically if necessary
• Don’t embarrass your parents or yourself

Graduates – All graduates should
Arrive by 2:30 pm. Be early, there will be a lot of traffic.
Enter through Entrance Two (East) or Three (West).
Atrium/Search
– Line up in the Atrium area for search (conducted
by school staff)
– Graduates may not bring any electronic
devices, cell phones, purses, sunglasses,
cameras, noise makers, beach balls or any
other item which may cause a distraction or
take away from the importance of the event.
– Enter the conference center / staging area and
proceed to your seat.
– Any student arriving after 3:00pm will not be
allowed to enter the conference center.
– Any confiscated item can be picked up in the AP
office on Friday at 9:30am.
Graduates Dress Code
Any student that is not dressed properly
will not be allowed to participate in the
ceremony.
• Male students are expected to wear a
collared shirt with tie, dress slacks
and dress shoes.
• Female students are to wear a
dress/skirt or dress slacks with dress
shoes. Blouses and skirts are
expected to be in dress code. Do not
bring purses, please leave in your car
or with a family member.
Graduate Dress
• No jeans, shorts, Capri’s,
sandals, flip-flops or tennis
shoes are allowed to be worn.
• Body Tattoos must be covered
according to the Student Code of
Conduct. Any student that has
exposed tattoos will be asked to
cover them before being
allowed to participate in the
ceremony.
Cap and Gown Problems
• Balfour personnel will be in the
Conference Center to assist
graduates with cap and gown
problems.
Seating
• After entering the facility, parents and guests will
have access to any available Level 100 or 200
numbered seats (first come first serve)
• Berry Center ushers will assist with seating parents
and guests. Seating is first come first serve, with no
saving of seats. Handicap seating is available at the
top row of Level 100 and 200 seating. Seating for the
hearing impaired and the visually impaired is available
in section 107
• NOTE: Fire Marshal rules do not allow spectators to
leave seat and use aisles to take photos!!!!!!!!!!
Late Arrivals
• Admission tickets state that parents and
guests will not be guaranteed seating in the
Arena. If the Arena is at capacity or any late
arrivals will be ushered to the Theatre to view
the graduation on closed-circuit TV.

Graduate Tips
• Remain in line. Do not get out of place.
• All graduates are to remain standing until all graduates are in
place.
• Do not fill in empty seats, as someone may arrive late. Leave
space.
• You will stand for the Pledge and National Anthem. (Men,
remove your hats)
• When you walk across the stage, you will receive your
diploma cover only. You will get your diploma packet after
you have exited the stage.
• Reminder!! Any inappropriate behavior during graduation will
result in your removal from the ceremony and a meeting with
Mr. Hull later in June to get your diploma.
• If you throw your hat at the end of the ceremony, you may
want to hang on to your tassel.

Graduation Pictures / Videos
•
Individual pictures will be taken as graduates receive their
diploma, and a second picture will be taken after they exit the
stage. Additionally, a video will be made of the graduation
ceremony. Both the photographer and videographer will have
purchase information materials available at tables on the
concourse level. Videos of graduation can be ordered
through the Berry Center website at berrycenter.net
• You received the picture ordering information in a packet in
the auditorium. Information is also on school website.
Diploma Packet
Included in your diploma packet will be:
– Diploma
– STAAR Scores
– Shot Records
– Unofficial Transcript
Transcript
If you did not complete your final transcript request in your English
class, then you may complete the form in the registrar's office before
graduation. The college/university you are attending may not allow
you to register for courses until a final transcript is sent directly from
Cypress Ranch High School to the admissions office.
We are closed for the summer, so you should to take care of this
ASAP.

Where Will We Meet?
• You will not have your cell phone, so
make arrangements with your
parents regarding where you will
meet them after the ceremony.
Example: Meet your parents by the
flag pole, outside entrance 2, by the
car.
A FEW REMINDERS
• 10 TICKETS FOR EACH GRADUATE. BORROW FROM YOUR
FRIENDS IF YOU NEED MORE.
• NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED. YOU WILL BE SEARCHED UPON
ARRIVAL.
• DO NOT TAPE ANY MESSAGES ON YOUR CAP.
• PICK UP ANY CONFISCATED ITEMS ON FRIDAY AT 9:30 IN THE
AP OFFICE.
• POOR BEHAVIOR WILL GET YOU REMOVED FROM CEREMONY.
• HAVE A MEETING PLACE FOR AFTER THE CEREMONY.
• BE THERE NO LATER THAN 2:30!!
