THE STORY OF FOOD

We eat a variety of foods daily.
• Our body need energy to move , work
or play. This energy comes from
food .

We also need food to grow and to fight
disease .
Sources of food
 Plants – fruits , vegetables , cereals ,
pulses , spices . Tea and coffee.
 Animals – meat ,eggs , milk






We eat different parts of the plant.
Flower – cauliflower
Roots – potato
Leaves – cabbage . Spinach
Fruits – mango , apple , orange
• Some plants gives us medicines
like tulsi , mint , neem etc.

Animals also provide food to us like –
eggs , meat ,honey.
