California State University General Education Breadth Requirements Students only planning to transfer to CSU may follow the CSU GE sheet IGETC or CSU GE? If you plan to transfer to… a CSU or UC: 1) Follow the specific requirements for the individual CSU or UC campus. Or 2) Follow IGETC*. A UC: 1) Follow the specific requirements for the UC campus. Or 2) Follow IGETC* a CSU: 1) Follow the specific requirements for the CSU campus. 2) 3) 4) Or Follow IGETC. Or Follow CSU GE Breadth. Complete all Basic Skills courses with a C or higher. An independent or out-of-state school: 1) Meet the GE requirements of that institution. Educational Plan - Counselor An Educational Plan identifies the courses needed for transferring to a four-year college or university It lists the courses that should be taken every semester at PCC to complete general education, lower division and elective courses PCC Degree & Transfer Center University representatives Application workshops and essay review Informational events (i.e. transfer fairs) Reference books and online resources Pre-screen PCC transcript Transfer research
