• a cross reading instrument based
commonly agreed criteria and indicators

• a systemic framework giving key references
for making choices to approach quality
assurance
• It can apply to both systems and provider
levels
• allows for the identification of best practice of
current provision across Member States

A European Network
Aims
• Provide a mechanism for regular exchange, debate,
follow-up and consensus building across countries
• Foster practical initiatives within and across countries
based on achievements of European cooperation
• Promote transfer of ‘good practices’ and innovation
• Relay monitoring, follow-up and appraisal across
levels
• Allow for effective cross fertilisation between
initiatives and tools developed in VET and HE
