Artizen to Technocrat (Vocational Diploma Programme)

Training in Artizen to Technocrat (Vocational Diploma Programme) scheme has been started in this institute from August 2005. The training is divided into Six Stages as follows.

In this training scheme we are imparting training in three Steams.

1. Diploma in Building Construction 2. Diploma in Carpentry 3. Diploma in Plumbing

Centre of Excellence (Upgradation of I.T.I.’s into Centre of Excellence) Training under Centre of Excellence will be provided in three parts

1. Broad Based Basic Training of One Year 2. Advanced Module Training of Six Months 3. Specialised Module training mainly in Industry for Six Months

A Unique programme having Multi Entry and Multi Exit provisions Candidate can repeat for other advance modules / Special module to enhance their knowledge and various skills.

I.T.I. Passed out trainee from conventional system can get admission direct to advance or special module The main thrust of the programme is to produce multi skilled workforce of world standard.

Important Development Schemes 1) To prepare Electronic lab for the Centre of Excellence 2) To develop the Electrical lab in Electrician Section 3) Internal renovation work in new building & to paint it. : Paint work is completed 4) To repair the Lift/Elevator : Lift / Elevator repaired & it is under operation.

5) To provide place for CNC Lab. : Place provided Aluminium partition & Window AC provided.

Special Work Implemented in Institute Lab in Information Technology Section/ trade is renewed by the trainees of institute.

Under POTS scheme works of Rs. 1026996/- done last year.

Under NSS scheme camp for 10 days arranged at I. T. I. Mahad. Under the Lokseva scheme undertake the work of I. Y. College, J.J. Hospital, ITI Lower Parel, etc., & earned the revenue of Rs. 76000/ Under the short term Training programme collected Rs.2,56,600/- & by arranging training programmes added Rs.97938/- in Institute development fund.

Arranged 125 th Blood Donation Camp, collected 19023 bottles of blood in Blood Bank.

Special Work Implemented in Institute Painting work of institute building (internal as well as externally) plastering of roof,repairing of windows, fitting of glass to windows etc.is completed with the help of PWD Electric connection load (which was false or overload) reduced & corrected from BEST Due to the fault water meter of the Institute we use to receive average bill but now the new water meter is connected, so the bill will be under control.

Various training programmes arranged such as : 1) Development of the training skill of the instructor (with the help of STARI) 2) Computer training for preparing the exam Software, etc.

Bottlenecks / Difficulties of Institute Vacant post may be fulfilled Old & Outdated computers/ servers to be written off.

Written off machinery is still pending in the institute Unable to implement various programmes due to the shortage of space.

Aim of P.O.T.S.

To Serve the Industries, Society & Government as well as semi government organisation, meeting their requirment through Production Oriented Training Scheme (P.O.T.S.)

Objective of P.O.T.S.

   

To minimize the expenditure on raw material.

To increase the revenue of the institute.

To achieve the optimum utilisation of the infrastructure of the institute.

To increase the confidence and zeal of the trainees by giving them opportunities to make production.

To provide all types of skills & allied skills in the respective trades so as to encourage the trainee to start his own business.

To establish homogeneous relations between Institute and surrounding industries, government organizations and society.

Lokseva Kendra

Looking at the need of Job Oriented Training, Govt. Of Maharashtra designed a scheme "LOK SEVA Kendra". This Scheme is implemented in all the I.T.I.'s in Maharashtra. The main Objective of this scheme is to provide a job oriented training for the candidates so that they can start their own business & can earn for their livelihood.

This scheme has been implemented in our Institute & we provide training in 62different trades. In this scheme 249 Candidates have completed the training Successfully. After completion of the training a certificate will be given to the candidates which will be useful for getting financial assistance from the finance companies or from the banks.

In our institute, total 557 candidates have been registered in this scheme. And a revenue of Rs. 3,51,600/- has been earned by this institute in different trades through this scheme.

Magel Tyala Vyavasay Prashikshan

This scheme of job oriented ,part -time training is specially started for the backward class students. This scheme is implemented in our institute in Sept.-2003.

In this scheme the training is provided only for the candidates belongs to SC,VJ,NT & SBC. We Provide training in 68 different trades under this scheme.

Features of This scheme.

1) No Fees.

2) Stipend of Rs. 100/- per month for each trainee.

3) After successful completion of training a Tool Kit will be the trainee.

given to 4) Special Seminars on Entrepreneurship Development will be organised for the candidates through MCED/MITCON.

5) A trainee will be honoured with the Certificate after completion of training.
